Praise the Lord!

He gave me a safe trip down to Ga yesterday and back to NC today. I now have my mom with me for a week! God was good and the trip seemed easy and the traffic wasn't bad at all! He is so good! Praise His name!!!

School is back in Session!

Here are some pics of the 1st 2 days of school. Hope didn't want just 1st day pics because she had to wear her uniform....lol. I can't believe she is a Senior and Hannah is a freshman! WOWSERS!

Do you love music?

I love music!! It soothes me when I'm stressed, it comforts me when I'm low, it energizes me when I'm sluggish...it really is a powerful thing. I love to sing. I sing specials at church, sing in the choir, help lead praise and worship, sing to my children, sing to my friends on their birthday (Renea requested it..lol) and I sing around the house while I'm cleaning.

I found a verse a few years back that came across my mind yesterday and it just made me feel so good that I wanted to share it with you. It is in an unfamiliar book to most of us, Zephaniah 3:17 "The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."

Did you catch that last phrase? God himself sings over us!!! Can you believe it?? I wish I could hear with my human ears how beautiful that must be!! The God who created our human voices, who gave us ability to make noise, sings himself ....to us! Wow! How amazing! How special I feel when I read that verse. Listen to it in the amplified....

"The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior (who saves!)! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest (in silent satisfaction) and in His love He will be silent and make no mention (of past sins, or even recall them); He will exult over you with singing."

Praise the Lord.....he NEVER reminds me of my failures, nor does he even remember them...he chooses not to! Instead he loves me, rejoices over me, comforts me with His love and sings to me! I say that is AWESOME!

If you are feeling lonely, down or discouraged.. think on these things...The God of the universe loves you and is so exicted about you that he is singing....listen closely.

Wow.....I'm even MORE excited now!!!

I've been studying and preparing for the intro class for the Bible study on Sept. 2 and this morning the Lord answered my prayer of praying Psalm 119:18 "Open thou mine eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law." I was studying Hosea 10:12 and which is the theme verse for the 1st month of study and it was amazing how much he showed me in that one verse!! It was like those little boxes that all fit inside one another. I looked up the greek in one word and that led to another "box" and when I opened it and looked at the context and tense of the word...another "box" and it just kept going and going!! I have my entire outline for the lesson in that one verse! God's Word is AMAZING!! I am praying for each lady that needs to come to this years study will not allow satan to discourage them from doing so and that every obstacle would be removed. I pray that we will all become closer to the Lord and see miraculous changes in our life that we ourselves and others could see and know that ONLY the Lord could do them. May He be glorified in everything that we do and may we love each other and rejoice in that we are all sisters in Christ!

Excitement!

The monthly ladies Bible study is going to crank back up next month on September 2nd @ 7:00p.m. at the church. I am so excited about this years study. The Lord has led me to a study called "Seeking Him, the Joys of Personal Revival." I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to do. I'm already praying for the exact ladies to come that he knows needs to be there and for the women of our church to experience true revival in their lives this year. I have a desire to be closer to the Lord, for Him to be more real, my passion burn hotter within me to serve Him and to ache within my soul to fellowship with Him. He is worthy!~

Any lady is welcome to attend. We meet the first Tuesday of every month and it is only an hour class. Come and join in and lets see a difference in ourselves and then we'll start seeing a difference in others!
