National Beta Club Induction Ceremony

Hannah, Doug and I after the ceremony. Hannah chose me to "pin" her and I was honored. I remember my induction ceremony. Out of 600+ students only 48 were chosen to be inducted to the National Beta Club. We are so proud of Hannah's achievements!

Hannah has ALWAYS loved children and especially babies since she was big enough to carry the ones at church around on her hip. She still loves them and is now old enough to work in our church nursery and here are a few of her precious ones!

Hope's drill competition Saturday went great. They placed 3rd overall! There were 20 schools represented so that was a great accomplishment. Other than being a little sunburned Hope had a wonderful time with her drill buddies and was excited to place 3rd. I've posted some pics from the ride home and the bowling celebration afterward.

Hannah only played soccer in GA 1 year and that was when she was 8 but you sure can't tell it! She has not only started every game but played the entire game each time with the exception of about 3 minutes per game in which he let her rest. We are so excited for her and so proud!

Hope & JC

We spent the afternoon at JC's house yesterday and I went horseback riding with his mom and dad. It was a lot of fun. Hope and JC took some pics for his myspace and watched a movie. You notice there are no pics of us on the horses! Jeesh!! She takes a picture of everything else! LOL! Maybe next time.

I GOT A NEW JOB!!!

Hello everyone! Wow...it has been an interesting couple of weeks for me! I was approached by 2 different companies with job offers out of the blue and went for interviews and got both jobs and then had to decide which one I wanted. BB&T offered me a teller position with them with the intent to get some training and move up in the company. They made a good offer but I turned it down so that I could accept Dr. Vine's offer. (a dentist here in Reidsville) I will not have ANY more late nights, no early shifts and are you ready for this.............???? Only one Friday a month and no Friday's during the summer!! WOW! I can't hardly believe it. I will be scheduling appts. and greeting the patients as they come in and doing some special projects for Dr. Vine's such as advertising. (he currently has no advertisement) So I'm really excited that the Lord brought this opportunity my way. I do hate to say goodbye to my customers at FNB. I have really come to love and enjoy many of them. I start my new job on April 2nd the day after my 38th birthday so remember to pray for me!

Fun Times With Friends

Hope had a sleepover with her ROTC buddies and they had a great time. There were 3 boys and 8 girls at my house last night and they were having a great time! They played hide-n-seek outside in the dark until about 11:30pm! They ate a lot of junk food and laughed a lot too! The guys left at 2:00a.m. and the girls didn't leave until 2:00pm. Hope is certainly blessed with a lot of good buddies. It was a joy to have them here and yes, (for those of you who know me...) the house did recover! LOL!
